Superstar Aamir Khan is known to be a perfectionist. Well, for the uninitiated, he is also a great fan of the veteran, Shammi Kapoor. 

A high profile auction was held recently in New Delhi wherein rare Bollywood memorabilia were put up for sale. And it was here that Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, a self confessed veteran Shammi Kapoor fan, bought the yesteryear actor's favorite jacket for an astronomical amount.

Though Aamir was not present there physically, he bid for the jacket online. Apart from that jacket, he also bought six collector's items, but the costliest item was the jacket for Rs. 1.1 lakh. The five other collector's items were for Rs. 2.38 lakhs.

The bidding also saw the sale of a bat used in 'Lagaan' which is signed by the whole onscreen team for Rs. 1.56 lakhs as well. Amongst other sold items, that were bought by other bidders, were Kishore Kumar's last song that was sold for Rs 15.6, hand-painted posters of films starring Amitabh Bachchan and late Rajesh Khanna. 45 signed black-and-white photographs of Dev Anand, Farooque Sheikh's silver ring in Umrao Jaan and outfits of Amjad Khan and Sanjeev Kumar were also auctioned.
