December 28, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Filmmaker Selvaraghavan and Yuvan Shankar Raja are illustrious for their best works in films Thullavadho Ilamai, Kadhal Kondain, Pudhupettai and Yaaradi Nee Mohini, after which they parted ways due to some difference of opinions. After a long time, the duo combo is all set to strike with a big show. The film titled Erandam Ulagam will bring them together.
The film has Selvaraghavans younger brother Dhanush in lead role and will go on floors shortly by next year.
Selvaraghavan had decided to work with G.V. Prakash in future projects, but has now changed his mind by signing Yuvan Shankar Raja. However G.V. Prakash has tweeted saying that the project didnt work out due to financial and time factors.
Much excited Yuvan Shankar Raja has stated that the script of Erandam Ulagam is mind-boggling and that made him irresistible from signing this project. Dhanush on turn has said that the film is not a sequel to Selvaraghavans Aayirathil Oruvan, but a heart-touching love story on different dimension.
Selvaraghavan had earlier started shooting for the film Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam with Dhanush and Andrea Jeremiah in lead roles. But the shooting has been shelved for unknown reasons.
