From an actress to a successful entrepreneur, Shilpa Shetty is becoming a multi-tasker day by day. The actress has turned a fashion designer by launching her saree line in the capital.

The fashion icon has ventured with Home Shop 18 for it. The collection comprises of sarees  in georgette and crepe, which are available in various colour schemes and prints.

Shilpa said, "The sari is one of the most popular and versatile attire, which makes you look glamorous and dignified at the same time. In this exclusive collaboration, I've enjoyed experimenting with unique styles to suit different tastes. The SSK collection has been designed keeping in mind an Indian ethos with a modern twist, light fabrics and embellishments enhancing the richness, the biggest prerequisite being budget-friendly."

She further added "Ever since I can remember, I loved saris primarily because my mother used to wear them to work and I would love the way they looked on her.After I started wearing saris, I would tell my designer friends, yeh colour kar do, yeh print add kar do, yeh fabric hai, etc. That's when I realized that since I design for myself, I could totally do it for my fans."

The collection will be available in the market before the upcoming festivals.
