Simon Pegg: Childrens TV shows are fascinating

12th November 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Simon Pegg has admitted he gets distracted by childrens television.

The 40-year-old actor is best known for his roles in quirky comedies such as Hot Fuzz and Shaun of the Dead, and hes also written an autobiography charting his rise to fame entitled Nerd Do Well.

Simon has confessed he struggled penning the memoir, and sought peace in his office as he got easily distracted by other things in his house, especially the television.

The star found he was unable to pen his thoughts whenever Bob the Builder - a British show for children about a masonry expert called Bob came on the screen.

I cant concentrate if Bob the Builder is on, he told Empire magazine.

Simon is intrigued by the show and sometimes wonders whether its light-hearted premise will ever become more sinister. Because of his over-active imagination, Simon now keeps himself far away from childrens television when he wants to work hard.

I know he insists he can fix it, but one wonders if it will ever take a darker turn, mused Simon. (C) Cover Media
