You must be thinking that the makers of the 1995 Bollywood blockbuster hit 'Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge' (DDLJ) are planning to remake the movie or make a sequel to the film. Well unfortunately, that is not the case. Though we would love to see Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in a similar love story once again, that is far from happening at the moment.
The interesting news here is that SRK's next film 'Chennai Express' with lead actress Deepika Padukone, will have a similar scene from 'DDLJ'. The film has a train sequence replicating the last scene from 'DDLJ' where SRK is standing at the train's door with his arm outstretched waiting for Kajol to board the train.
The only change this time is instead of Kajol, Deepika is running to catch the train.
While sources who witnessed the scene, stated that it bares some resemblence to the scene in the iconic movie, but it is not an attempt to recreate it.
The best part is that this scene has taken place in Goa, one of director Rohit Shetty's favourite destinations. Rohit, who is the man behind 'Chennai Express', has to accommodate Goa in most of his films like the 'Golmaal' series, 'Singham', 'Bol Bachchan' and more.
Deepika's look is the movie is strictly South Indian, where she is seen sporting a half saree and two plaits. SRK on the other hand has a very casual look.
After the train scene shoot is completed at the Vasco Railway Station, the crew will head to Dudhsagar waterfalls for their next schedule.
Touted to release before Eid next year, this movie is produced by UTV Motion Pictures and Red Chillies Entertainment.
