SRK turns down the offer to 'Race'

8th May 2014

Bollywood's hit filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan gave Shah Rukh Khan one of the biggest roles of his career in their film 'Baazigar'. The grey character made SRK an overnight star and earned him rave reviews when he was just a few films old in the industry.

Though SRK is famous as the 'King of Romance', he has earned a niche for himself by playing negative characters in films like 'Darr', 'Baazigar', 'Anjaam' and 'Don'. But SRK it seems, is not keen to experiment now.

Though he shares a very cordial relationship with Abbas-Mustan till date, SRK politely refused to accept their recent offer. The duo apparently went to him with an offer to play a baddie in their next action thriller 'Race 3'.

The 'Race' franchise is their most successful experiment till date and they wanted to make it bigger by casting SRK in the same. Though SRK loved the script, he was a little apprehensive about the audience's reaction to see him as a villain.

As he shares a very warm relationship with the duo, he politely explained to them why he cannot sign the film.
