(Cover) - EN Fashion - Stella McCartney is set to launch her first childrens collection.
The British fashion designer is thrilled about the line, which will go on sale on November 3 this year.
The range has been designed for both boys and girls between the ages of 0 and 12, and prices will range from 19 euros for a baby T-shirt to 150 euros for a coat.
Stella has three children with her husband Alasdhair Willis; Miller, five, Bailey, three and Beckett, two, and is expecting her fourth at the moment. She says she wanted to create a line for infants because there are so many parents working within her fashion house.
She thinks that many of the childrens collections currently available from designer labels dont cater properly for the family, and says her main aim was to make the range fun.
"As a brand with many working parents in the team, I wanted to create a desirable, fun, wearable kids collection that was affordable.
I feel like all the timeless children's wear is reserved for the expensive brands and that did not sit well with me, kids and parents, aunts, uncles, friends, should all be able to have access to Stella McCartney Kids clothes. We have tried to make that possible in this first collection, and hope it is enjoyed! Stella said in a statement.
The playful collection is named after childrens first names, with highlights including the Ingrid floral print girls dress, the Aldo quilted boys jacket, and the Tammy natural rubber boots.
Stella launched her eponymous fashion label in 2001 and is best known for making ethical clothes, refusing to use any leather or fur in her designs (C) Cover Media
