Steve Carell thinks he would win a pose-off with Channing Tatum "hands down".

The funnyman is starring in upcoming Bennett Miller film Foxcatcher alongside Channing and Mark Ruffalo. Steve plays John du Pont, who suffered from paranoid schizophrenia and killed Olympic wrestler David Schultz, portrayed by Channing.

The star has joked that his physique is more impressive than renowned muscle man Channing's.

"No need. We could have a pose-off right now, and I would just win hands down no competition there," he quipped to MTV News.

"He doesn't threaten me. Come on!"

Steve is excited to start production on the movie. The 49-year-old star was instantly impressed with the script.

"I am beginning shooting on that in October. I don't know when they're going to release it. I've signed on to do it. I'm excited," he gushed. "It's a good script."
