It is a tough job to write a good script which promises to be a blockbuster and also find a great cast to enact the script. And it gets even tougher when a filmmaker is looking out for a newcomer in particular to play the lead.

Similarly, it was filmmaker Subhash Ghai's intense struggle to find the leading lady for his film 'Kaanchi'. He auditioned around 350 girls to get the right 'Kaanchi', the way he had imagined in his script.

Subhash found so many beautiful girls with talent, but he could not find the right girl to play the leading lady, until he saw a picture of Mishti who is from Kolkata.

As Subhash auditioned Mishti, he knew in the very first shot itself that she was the girl he was looking for.

Moreover, he was looking for the right face rather than the beauty. Today, Subhash is glad that his hunt is over. What he now has to do is make a beautiful film titled on the character.

The filmmaker is hoping all goes well as he asks for everyones support and good wishes.
