Suriya clarifies about 7aam Arivu

8th November 2011

Even as a mixed talk is on about 7aam Arivu, protagonist of the film Suriya conducted a press meet in Chennai on Monday to clear the air on the film, directed by A R Murugadoss and produced by Udhayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant movies.

"There are positive and negative reviews about 7aam Arivu. But the fact is that the film has become a big hit and we have collection reports to prove it. I welcome all kind of feedback and I sincerely believe it would help me improve", the actor said.

Replying to a controversy that the Buddhist monk Bodhi Dharma (one of the characters he had played in the film) was not a Tamilian, Suriya said, "Director Murugadoss and his team did intense research before commencing shooting for 7aam Arivu. So I don't want to go into that controversy."

On his next film Maatran, the actor said, "I am so happy and thrilled to bag such a role. It is no easy thing for any actor to do such a character. And I am happy to work with K V Anand after the super hit Ayan. Maatran will be a complete commercial treat for the audience."
