The latest buzz that is doing rounds in Kollywood is that Vetri Maaran is all set to begin his next film which will be produced by Dayanidhi Alagiri’s Cloud Nine Movies.

Vetri Maaran had called on Suriya, who is currently shooting for Matraan, and narrated a story to him. Apparently impressed, he had agreed to do the film after listening to the one-liner.

Vetri Maaran hit the bull's eye with his Aadukalam starring Dhanush, that fetched him six national awards and the movie went on to get screened in many international film festivals.

Recently, the director and other winners of National Awards from Tamil film industry were felicitated by the Delhi Tamil Sangam, in association with the Tamil daily Dinamani.
