The Telugu movie 'Shouryam', that was directed by cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Shiva, is now getting remade in Tamil as 'Prabhakaran', starring Vishal and Sameera Reddy in lead roles. The film is directed by Prabhu Deva, whose recent release 'Engeyum Kadhal' has had a mediocre show at the box-office. The film's shooting started before the release of 'Engeyum Kadhal' and recently the crew was spotted working in Pollachi, filming a song that has Vishal and Sameera Reddy for the tune composed by Vijay Anthony.

Vishal has already played the role of a cop in 'Sathyam' that turned out to be a box-office disaster. He is positive though, that in this film, he will win laurels for the same role of a police officer. 'Shouryam' had Gopichand in the lead role as a police officer and performed well at the box-office.
