(Cover) - EN Movies - Todd Phillips doesn't mind if people dislike The Hangover Part II he's just glad they will be watching it.
The director has marvelled about how different shooting the sequel was compared to the work which went into the 2009 original. The first picture was about a group of men who embarked on a wild bachelor party in Las Vegas, and this time around they travel to Bangkok.
Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis and Justin Bartha have all reprised their roles, and Todd is still struggling to come to terms with how eagerly anticipated the release is.
"There's always pressure with any movie but for my own sanity, I looked at it the opposite way. When we shot the first Hangover we'd be in an alley at five in the morning in Las Vegas and I'd turn to Bradley Cooper and go, 'That's the funniest thing ever but is anybody gonna see this movie?' With this one, I feel like people are really waiting for it. So when I look at it that way, it gets me through it," he told Variety.
Craig Mazin, who was involved in penning the script, was just as nervous. He explained he simply refused to let himself get too worried about what people would make of the second instalment, and has admitted he already has an idea for the third.
"We sat down in January of last year and gave ourselves ten minutes to be scared out of our minds. Then we agreed to let it go and just do the job and not let it get in our heads," he laughed.
"[If there is a third one] I just want it to be in Pasadena, where I live, because the jet lag alone was a nightmare!" (C) Cover Media
