(Cover) - -No story type selected- - Tom Felton thinks The Apparition was the ideal movie for him to break away from Harry Potter.
The 23-year-old British actor is famed for his role playing wizard Draco Malfoy in the hugely successful film franchise, which also stars Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe and will end this summer with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.
Tom appears in thriller The Apparition, which will be released in Europe later this year, alongside Ashley Greene and Sebastian Stan, and he feels like the movie was a great vehicle to display his acting variety.
"It was so great for that film to be one of my first outside Hogwarts. Ashley and Sebastian are so talented. I learned so much from them, even though I was shooting for only six weeks. I'm very excited for that," he beamed.
The Apparition tells the tale of a couple being haunted by a supernatural presence, and Tom's Harry Potter co-star Daniel is also set to appear in a spooky movie. Daniel stars in The Woman in Black, due for release next year, about a lawyer who discovers a ghost seeking vengeance. Tom laughed off any suggestions of rivalry between the pair though.
"No competition!" he told MTV. "That's true, they're coming out next year. That could be interesting to see how that turns out. But I'm really excited for them both." (C) Cover Media
