(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Tom Cruise has fallen in love with Julianne Hough's pet pooch on the set of Rock of Ages.

Tom and Julianne are just two of the stars of the musical movie, which tells the story of a small-town girl's adventures in Hollywood during the 1980s extravagant rock music scene, and is set for release in 2012.

Julianne has been taking pet dogs with her on set, and says puppy Harley, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, has made a big impression on Tom. The actor is adamant he and wife Katie Holmes' daughter Suri, five, would be a big fan.

"Tom was telling me about [daughter] Suri," she told People. "And that she would probably love Harley."

Tom plays ageing rocker Stacee Jaxx in the eagerly awaited big screen adaptation of the hit stage musical, while Julianne plays Sherrie Christian in the movie.

Julianne is adamant that Harley and her other dog Lexi accompany her while working, admitting that she can't go anywhere without them.

"They are on set all the time, we take long walks. Adam Shankman, the director, has his two dogs there, too, so we've had a groomer come on set. It's pretty funny," she added. (C) Cover Media
