Full of 'Dil'

Dil Raju, the man behind many blockbuster hits, has lanched his son Sumanth Ashwin as an actor with 'Tuneega Tuneega', which as the title suggests, is a youthful romantic flick.

Thought it is a routine love-story which we have been watching on-screen for decades, its treatment makes a difference. But still, we walk out of the theatres with a feel that Raju could have done a better job.

Karthik Ramaswamy (Sumanth Ashwin) and Nidhi (Rhea Chakraborty) know each other since childhood. Though they have grown up together, they never liked each other and always behaved liked acquaintances.

Karthik is the son of Madurai Ramaswamy (Prabhu), a chief who is treated as more than a friend by Ravindra Babu (Naga Babu). No prizes for guessing that Ravindra is Nidhi's father and a rich man.

While Nidhi flies to the U.S. for further education, Kathik wants to become a dancer. When she returns to her homeland, her father throws a big party where cupid strikes Karthik and Nidhi.

But they are separated soon, courtesy Nidhi's cousins. The surprise of the story is to find out if the love birds come together and how.

Sumanth Ashwin makes a welcome debut. The actor seems to have done enough homework to get his act right. Rhea Chakraborty is beautiful and does a routine job as an actress. Veterans Prabhu and Naga Babu also give an adequate performance.

Music is by Karthik Raja, the elder son of maestro Ilaiyaraaja. Karthik Raja has added immense value to the film with his songs and backgrond score. The camera work and editing are ok.

Though Raju has selected the right plot (youthful story) to launch his son, he cold have done wonders had he managed to present it in an interesting screenplay.

But he has achieved his mission of introducing a fresh face in Tollywood. On that front he is a winner indeed.
