28th June 2011
Upendra will be playing the historical role of Dalavayi Muddanna of the Chitradurga dynasty. This role had interested two other biggies – Rajinikanth and Prakash Raj.

The role of warrior Dalavayi Muddanna which will be done by Upendra is going on the floors in September. This is based on three powerful novels of Ta.Ra.Subba Rao named 'Kambani Kuyilu', 'Raktha Rathri' and 'Thirugabana' respectively.

The Tamil superstar Rajinikanth was interested in these three novels but his market in Karnataka did not make it feasible for him to take it up. Rajinikanth cleverly used some of the contents in his super hit film 'Chandramukhi'.

Dalavayi Muddanna is an infamous commander of Chitradurga, who in a span of 15 years killed three rulers. Upendra may well break the jinx as director Prem and producer Munirathna are set to announce the movie. This movie will take not less than Rs.30 crores and a lot of time.
