Popular Telugu film director V Madhusudhan Rao passed away in Hyderabad. He was 95. He had been ailing for the last few years. He is survived by his wife Saroja and two sons. He was born on 27th July, 1917.
Madhusudhana Rao debuted as director with "Sati Tulasi" in the year 1959. "Rakta Sambandham", "Gudi Gantalu", "Aradhana", "Antasthulu", "Aasthiparulu", "Atma Balam", "Krishnaveni", "Mallepuvvu" were some of the many movies he directed.
Madhusudhan Rao was also hailed as a 'remake specialist' in Tollywood between the 1960s and 1990s. However, he was a versatile filmmaker since he had tasted success even with a suspense thriller named "Lakshadikari".
Madhusudhan Rao was a recipient of the prestigious Raghupathy Venkaiah award, given away by the state government in 1997. He directed as many as 38 movies and worked with legendary actors like N.T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Shoban Babu and also introduced Nagarjuna and Jagapathi Babu.
