It's official at last. The music of Vijay's much awaited Velayudham will be released on August 28. That too at a grand function to be held in the presence of the public in Madurai.

According to a press release issued by the film's publicist today, arrangements are on in the temple town for a very grand event, where top guns of Tamil film industry and Vijay fans will participate in large numbers.

Produced by Aascar Films V Ravichandran, Velayudham directed by Jayam Raja has Vijay playing a village-based young man, who comes to the city to clean the system. How he get rid off evil things from the society is the crux.

Says Raja, 'I should thank Vijay for his co-operation. He has performed extremely well in dance, stunt and comedy sequences. Vijay Antony has come out with beautiful songs, which will be one of the strengths of Velayudham.'
