Lingusamy's 'Vettai' had encountered a few hiccups pertaining to production, with Cloud Nine Movies stepping out of the project. Now, with Lingusamy and his younger brother, Subash Chandra Bose, stepping in to produce the film under their home banner, 'Vettai' has once again started rolling. The shooting recently commenced in the backdrops of Karaikkudi, where a song involving Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy, Amala Paul and around 2000 artists, has been shot. Post this schedule, other parts of the film will shot across the locales of Tirunalveli and Tuticorin. Arya and Madhavan play the lead roles of two brothers, while Bollywood actor Rana takes on the negative role. Yuvan Shankar Raja scores music for the film, with Nirav Shah is handling cinematography and Anthony on editing.
