UTV Motion Pictures and Thirrupathi Brothers officially announced that their first co-production venture 'Vettai' will be releasing on January 14 (Pongal) 2012.

'Vettai' stars Arya, Madhavan, Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul in lead roles, under the direction of N Lingusamy with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

According to a statement issued to the media by G Dhananjayan, who heads UTV Motion Pictures, 'Lingusamy who delivered commercial super hits like 'Anandam', 'Run', 'Sandakozhi', 'Bheema' and 'Paiyya' is confident 'Vettai' will be his biggest and best movie so far'.

Produced by Thirrupathi Brothers in association with UTV Motion Pictures, the film revolves around the two brothers and two sisters played by the lead artistes mentioned. The movie is touted to be one of the biggest and most awaited commercial entertainers of 2012.

UTV, which is distributing the film worldwide, has commenced booking the theatres for the release of the film for Pongal.
