Vidya Balan who is currently shooting for her upcoming film 'The Dirty Picture' in Ramoji Rao Film City in Hyderabad, recently turned a mermaid for one of the song sequence in the film. Vidya will be donning southern siren Silk Smitha's real life character on silver screen in Milan Luthria's film produced by Ekta Kapoor.

One particular song in the movie demanded Vidya to be in a pond for the entire sequence. To shoot the sequence, Vidya was continuously asked to step in and out of the pond. However, Vidya found it to be sheer waste of time and efforts and hence she decided to be in the pond till the sequence was completely shot. Due to her unusual wish, she was in the water for more than two hours giving takes and retakes until the shot was finalized.

Well we are sure that particular scene in 'The Dirty Picture' would be nothing less than a beautiful frame with mermaid Vidya in it.
