The response to his Pongal release "Nanban" has put Vijay on cloud nine. The 'Ilaya Thalapathi' of Tamil cinema says he is happy that the movie has been declared a blockbuster, within a few days of its release.
'Credits should go to Shankar for remaking "3 Idiots" as "Nanban" in an interesting way. He is a dedicated director who knows well the pulse of the audience. I am happy to work with him and looking forward to join hands with him again,' he adds.
Elaborating more, Vijay says, 'In fact, we were about to work together during "Mudhalvan" itself. Shankar approached me first for the role. But I could not accept the offer due to some unavoidable reasons.'
On his "Nanban" co-stars, Jiiva and Srikanth, Vijay says, 'Jiiva was a live wire on the sets. He used to crack very good jokes which would make us laugh all the time. Srikanth is a nice person and a good friend as well.'
