Vikram gave his power-packed performance in the action flick, Saamy. After nearly a decade the National Award winning actor will play a cop again in his much awaited movie Thaandavam, directed by A. L. Vijay.

A source reports, "Vikram will play a police officer in the movie who fights for justice. But it is not the ordinary cop role which we usually get to see in abundance in Tamil cinema. It will be a totally different one."

Vikram and Vijay had worked together earlier for Deiva Thirumagan and it was while shooting for the film that they decided to join hands for an action flick.

Produced by UTV Motion Pictures, Thaandavam has popular Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu in a crucial role. Anushka Shetty and Amy Jackson will play the lead actresses, while music is by G V Prakash Kumar.
