'Friend in need is a friend indeed', and the saying has been most appropriately proved by Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan who recently helped filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj get out of a sticky situation.

Vishal who had finalized a couple of locations in Gujarat to shoot for his forthcoming film 'Matru Ki Bijlee Ka Mandola', was denied the permission to shoot there due to some regulations by the government authorities.

This had put Vishal in a fix as he had planned the whole shoot around the locale and had already got his cast and crew to shoot there. Cancellation would've meant going back to square one on location hunt and it would've also incurred a huge loss for producers to make the cast and crew return.

But Vishal played the smart game and gave a call to his colleague Amitabh Bachchan who fortunately happens to be the brand ambassador for the state. Learning about Vishal's difficulty, Amitabh immediately decided to lend his support. One call from him to the concerned ministry, got things working again for Vishal.

He was not only granted the permission to shoot there but was also given supreme treatment by the authorities and was treated as a special guest.
