Even though Vedi has been declared a 'paisa vasool' entertainer, Vishal is not ready to take a break. He is gearing up to start his next venture, titled Samaran, in which he would share the screen space with Trisha for the first time.

"It was my longtime wish to work with Trisha, who is my good friend in fact. It is coming true only now," says Vishal. Samaran will be directed by Thiru, who made his debut with Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai, which had the same Vishal in the lead.

Vishal is a good friend of Thiru and the actor was thoroughly impressed with the storyline narrated to him by the director. He immediately decided to act in it, besides producing it on his home banner, G K Film Corporation, sources say.

Vishal's last Vedi, directed by Prabhudeva with Sameera Reddy playing the heroine, hit the screens Friday last. 'I have been getting good feedback for the film. Box office reports say the opening was very good and I should thank Sun Pictures for that. I hope the good show continues in the coming weeks,' the actor says.
