Undeterred by the mixed response to Vedi, Vishal is keen to start his next venture Samaran, which is touted to be an action adventure. To be directed by Thiru (who earlier made Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai with the same actor), the film would have Trisha opposite Vishal.
'Shooting of Samaran will start at Chalakudy forest on October 28, two days after Deepavali. The shoot will be completed in one go and plans are on to release the movie for summer 2012,' sources say.
Vishal is playing a trekking expert, who guides tourist coming to the forest. At one point of time, he is asked to go to China on a mission. His life takes twists and turns from this point of time, say sources close to the unit.
Yuvanshankar Raja will score the music for Samaran, while lyrics are by Na Muthukumar. Ace writer S Ramakrishnan will pen dialogues. 'Samaran means warrior. Vishal is playing a guy who has never say die attitude in the movie,' says the director.
