A talented actor and a good producer, Prakash Raj raised many eyebrows when he revealed his plans to direct a movie titled Dhoni. Now he has made it clear as to why he chose to wield the megaphone.

"With so much experience of acting in more than 200 films and producing a good number of movies, I don’t want my knowledge to go waste. So I decided to become a director with Dhoni. It is a story that says life is beautiful," he says.

Throwing more light on the project, he says, "Today’s children are undergoing too much pressure. They are forced to read loads of books in the name of syllabus. Their childhood is totally spoiled and they are not allowed to enjoy things. This is the basic crux of Dhoni".

A bilingual, Prakash Raj is simultaneously making the film in Tamil and Telugu. "I have reduced the number of movies I am acting in because of Dhoni. I must thank maestro Illayaraja, who is giving life to my dream with his music," concludes, the actor-producer-director.
