Why 'Shamitabh' is a must watch

5th February 2015

We at Fridaymoviez give you 5 most compelling reasons to watch 'Shamitabh' this weekend.

The Trio set a ravishing cinematic combo with unusual casting characteristics, a specialty homing in R. Balki since 'Cheeni Kum' and 'Paa'.  Dhanush, the Tamil super star and exclusively known for being megastar, Rajinikanth's son-in law, the shahenshah of B Town, Amitabh Bachchan and Akshara Haasan, Kamal Haasan's second daughter symbolizes multi-regional exposure embraced in bollywood for a fresh outlook of the industry.

Loaded with musical pieces of specialized Ilaiyaraaja justify the unusualness and a fresh journey of the film. Playing with words, Sha Mi Mi Mi or a trend of using actors for their original voice in songs heats the cinematic inquisitiveness, an aesthetic of bringing originality and profound creativity.

R. Balki's metaphorical use of titles for his film caters one of the reasons you should be familiar with his films. Like Cheeni Kum and Paa, the title Shamitabh, coiling with Dhanush's last two letters and the name of Amitabh in a whole, itself questions the bulkiness of the film.

Joint hands of actor and director, Amitabh Bachan and R. Balki brought in a few but 'out of the box' stories hitting the box office having no relevance to stereotypic of bollywood, delving into intriguing character formation for the unusual output in the 70mm screen.

Trailer makes half of it.  A drunkard industry veteran played by bollywood Shahenshah, Amitabh Bachaan and as plot demystifies the struggle phase in the celluloid industry engages to dreamers, dreaming for becoming the superstar and, a mirror of Amitabh Bachchan's first phase of industry life may unleash into manifolds.  Least or wholly, the trailer justifies the plot is a question mark.
