19th December 2010

(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Will Ferrell has admitted he will never dye his hair again for a movie.

The 43-year-old comic actor is known for his roles in hit films including Stranger than Fiction, Blades of Glory, and The Other Guys. One of his most dramatic physical changes was in 2001 comedy Zoolander.

For the movie set in the fashion industry Will dyed his dark locks blond, something he wouldnt consider repeating in the future. The star didnt think twice about reaching for the dye at the time though.

I was doing Saturday Night Live and I hadnt started the season yet, and Lorne Michaels was going to kill me, but I thought, Lets do it anyway, he recalled in an interview with Empire magazine. Thats commitment. Id never do it again.

It was actually Will who came up with the idea to dye his hair for the part of Mugatu, with the movies star and director Ben Stiller agreeing it was a good plan. Will looks back fondly at the film, and says he loved playing fashionista Mugatu.

That was Ben Stiller trusting me to create something and come up with this weird bad guy from the fashion world. That was so easy because the look was so great I said, What if I just dyed my hair platinum blond? he recalled.

Mugatu [in Zoolander] was funny, the way he moved and talked and his attitude. (C) Cover Media
