(Cover) - EN Movies - Zoe Saldana is in talks to star in Infinitely Polar Bear.

Mark Ruffalo is already confirmed to be appearing in the movie, which is being produced by J.J. Abrams. Script writer Maya Forbes is helming the project, marking her first turn as director.

If Zoe gets the part, she will play the wife of Mark's character. He suffers from bipolar and the film follows what happens when he stops taking the medication he's been prescribed. The man struggles with his mental health, and desperately tries to cling to his marriage and his job as his illness gets worse.

His wife tries to do the best she can, but when things get too much she ends up moving out of the marital home.

At the moment the picture isn't backed by a studio but that isn't thought to be an issue. J.J. fully expects it to be picked up before long and is using his production company Bad Robot to support it. Megan Ellison, who helped finance True Grit, has also given some money to ensure it's made.

Infinitely Polar Bear is set to begin shooting this September. (C) Cover Media
