Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh's comes another social drama flick and this one has Shahid Kapoor in lead role. His character belongs to the mountains of Uttrakhand and what we got a glimpse of his look from the film where we witness a stylish young guy from the alps of Garhwal. Yes, Shahid will be essaying a local lad from Garhwal and the film is all about electricity company scams.

The pic has Shahid Kapoor sporting stylish shades, thin beard, wearing a black winter jacket which makes his character look authentic. After splendidly essaying Maharaja Rawal Ratan Singh a royal king in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmaavat', Shahid will now be seen as a simple localite from Uttrakhand. 

Shahid Kapoor Instagrammed and tweeted his first look with a caption, ''On set #battigulmeterchalu." Film went on floors since Feb 10 and will be wrapped up by April end. It will be majorly shot at Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie and Nainital that are some picturesque locations of Uttrakhand.

Moreover, on working with Shahid Kapoor director Shree Narayan Singh said, "With films like Kaminey, Jab We Met, Haider and Udta Punjab, Shahid Kapoor has definitely proved his mettle as an actor. Having said that, his star presence is undeniable and I look forward to working with him." 

The film also features Yami Gautam and Shraddha Kapoor and is slated for August 31 release.
