'Shivaay', Ajay Devgn's directorial venture and home production is speculated to have been shelved for indefinite period of time, due to budget restraints.

Ajay's team is skeptical about the project and has already emptied their pocket for eight to nine crore on research and preproduction itself, and therefore there is a forecast of crossing their mainstream budget.

The actor is also not happy with the location, since he had been to Canada and there was no snowfall up to his expectation and he returned without shooting.

Instead, he is engaged in Nishikant Kamat's untitled venture, a remake of South India film, which is under preproduction.
