AK 56 audio released in grandeur
13th July 2011
If you stepped back from the Gold Hall at the Karnataka State Cricket Association premises, thinking that it was some political event, you are forgiven. For, workers and leaders of the Congress party thronged the venue of the music launch of "AK-56". Director Omprakash Rao, who created a splash by directing the over Rs. 1 crore "AK-47", starring Hattrick Hero Shivarajkumar several years back, has also helmed his ambitious "AK-56" (which also happens to be his 25th film), starring Siddhant and Shirin. To keep his latest film a notch above other action thrillers, Rao has spent a paltry sum of only Rs five crores to can the film's action scenes!
With producer Venkatesh Babu willing to spend money like water to get the rich 'feel', Rao went ahead and spent Rs 1.5 crores using a helicopter and four cameras for just one scene! For the eight-minute climax, the cost was only Rs 3.5 crores!
It is being said that political funds have propped the film's finances. Hero Siddhant is a close relative of Karnataka Congress president Dr G Parameshwara. Sources say that Siddhant is out to prove himself and has jointly produced the film but on the sly. Glamour was added to glitter with the presence of heroines Shirin and Sanjjannaa, who looked especially sexy on the evening. They were soon joined by actresses Ramya Barna and Praneeta. Heroes Duniya Vijay and Deadly Aditya, producers and distributors K C N Chandru and Sa Ra Govindu lent their weight to the do. Producer Venkatesh Babu and music director Abhiman Roy were also on the dias.
The logo of Skyline production house and distribution house was unveiled a while later. As the evening was on, more dedicated party workers crowded the hall and it was soon time to leave.
