Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar is a man with a golden heart. A self made star of the industry, who speaks about protecting lives by teaching self defence techniques to our current generation, has emerged as a life saviour now.

He has extended a helping hand to the drought affected farmers of Maharashtra. He has assured of contributing Rs. 90 lakhs to these farmers.

This noble initiative is a joint effort of Beed districts IG Vishwas Nangre Patil and Akki's representative Vedant Bali. He will be giving Rs. 50,000 to 30 farmers from each district of Maharashtra for 6 months from now.

Prior to him, Nana Patekar and cricketer Ajinkya Rahane have also come forward to help the farmers.
