After being the man behind films like 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Black' and 'Saawariya', filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is on an experimental spree like never before.

He produced the commercial film 'Rowdy Rathore' last year, and now, he is eagerly awaiting the release of his next directorial venture 'Ram Leela' that releases this year. In addition, Bhansali is also working on his next production which is a biopic on Mary Kom starring Priyanka Chopra.

While the work on the latter films is still in process, Bhansali has already announced another project under his banner.

The latest film will be a remake of the South 2002 blockbuster 'Ramana' which is titled 'Gabbar' in Hindi and it will see Akshay Kumar in the lead.

Bhansali confirmed the news on the remake and also shared that he will only produce the film, while the project would mark the debut of South director Krish in Bollywood.

The female lead of the film is yet to be finalized.
