(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Alexis Jordan has described working with hip-hop star Jay-Z as "a dream".
The 19-year-old, whose self-titled debut album was released this February, has regular contact with the rapper and his Roc Nation team as she's signed to his record label.
The Happiness singer, who shot to fame on America's Got Talent, explained it feels surreal at times to be mentored by such a legendary artist.
"It's regular," she said when asked how often she is in touch with the star. "It's on and off because he's busy and I'm busy but he checks up on. Everything is great with me and Roc Nation and it's amazing to keep doing what I love."
Alexis, who is set to tour the UK from June 10 2011, also described how it feels to speak to one of the most important musicians in the hip-hop industry.
While it feels weird, the teenager doesn't get star-struck all the time because she has been in touch with him for three years.
"Sometimes it feels like a dream, sometimes it feels normal to me," she said. "I guess I've been talking to him from 16 until 19." (C) Cover Media
