(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Amanda Seyfried has admitted she threw herself into work after splitting from Dominic Cooper because she was scared of being alone.

The 25-year-old actress began dating the British hunk after they met on the set of smash hit musical movie Mamma Mia! in 2008. The pair dated on and off for around two years before finally calling time on their relationship last year. Amanda was left devastated when the romance ended and she coped with her grief by spending long hours on movie sets.

Because you are afraid of having time alone, you want to distract yourself from the heartbreak of one relationship, she replied to Marie Claire when asked why she has such a hectic work schedule. Thats why I go from movie to movie, it seems, because I want to distract myself from feeling really sad and having to disconnect from a family Ive created. Ill just work right away. I literally left Vancouver [where Red Riding Hood was filmed] and started another project a week after.

Amanda and Dominic began to experience problems in their relationship because he was based in the UK while she was in the US. The beauty has confessed she would never date anyone who doesnt live near her again because spending long periods of time apart made her paranoid.

Never date somebody who doesnt live in your country, she said. Its heartbreaking and confusing and it makes you go a little bit nuts. You dont know where they sleep at night You start second-guessing everything.

Amanda recently confirmed she is dating Ryan Phillippe and has vowed not to discuss her private life after her relationship with Dominic was a constant source of speculation. Even though she is no longer dating the actor she still feels positive about their time together.

Im not going to talk about everything but because we had such a public relationship, to those who cared, I dont mind talking about him, she explained. It was a really great part of my life. (C) Cover Media
