Andrew Garfield is determined to discover why spiders can't climb out of baths.
The British star portrays the lead character in the new movie The Amazing Spider-Man. While promoting the release, Andrew was asked if he's ever thought about why the critters are good at walking into baths and pipes, but struggle to get out again.
"I have no answer to whether spiders are able to find their way out of plumbing," he laughed to a UK TV show. "I should know that. I knew that question would come up and you've stumped me and that's something that obviously for the next set of junkets I need to [research]."
Andrew thoroughly enjoyed portraying Peter Parker aka Spider-Man in the new release. His parents were also thrilled about the casting, with his father taking unusual steps to show his support.
"There is a photo [of me dressed as Spider-Man as a toddler] and I don't know where it resides right now. My dad is ridiculous and he sent it to my agent, who sent it to [director of the movie] Marc Webb, who sent it to Sony, who wanted to send it to everyone," Andrew previously laughed.
