Are Bollywood stars getting jinxed?

23rd May 2013

It started with Ajay Devgn, who said 'no' to a body double and opted to perform his own stunts, and looks like over the years, actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar among others have followed suite and are opting to be the perfect 'hero' by doing their own stunts in their movies.

This sure comes with a level of risk, and now with the movie stars performing their stunts, the production team has sure taken the safety measures up a notch, as even a minor mishap could certainly put a big dent in their entire shoot schedule. Despite the scrupulous planning, there is always room for human error, and looks like our actors have been the victims of that in the recent past.

Shahid Kapoor ended up burning his arm and back while shooting for a fire scene for his movie, 'Rambo Rajkumar'. John Abraham had a major nose bleed while shooting for an action sequence in the blockbuster 'Shootout At Wadala', and recently Kareena Kapoor hurt herself when shooting for a rope-balancing scene for her movie, 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein'.

Ranveer Singh too, who injured himself on multiple occasions while shooting for his movie, 'Lootera', made news this month and Akshay's latest injury while shooting for Vipul Shah's 'Thuppakki' remake titled 'Pistol' made headlines this week.

With all these injuries hitting our Bollywood actors, one does tend to wonder, if our famous tinsel town stars tend to get jinxed with all the stardom. We are sure our actors realize that it simply comes as part of the territory.
