Ashton Kutcher is worried about Demi Moore's welfare, it has been claimed.

The Two and a Half Men actor is has remained tight-lipped about his thoughts on his estranged wife's recent breakdown.

Demi was released from hospital Thursday after being admitted for a reported seizure earlier this week. She was treated for exhaustion, and there were rumours she was also getting help for substance abuse and anorexia.

People magazine reports that Ashton is distressed by Demi's maladies.

"Ashton is deeply concerned for Demi," the source told the publication. "He still cares about her and wants the best for her. But their marriage is ending and they are both moving on with their lives."

Ashton was in Brazil earlier this week shooting an advertising campaign with supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio. While in the country, Ashton also attended Sao Paulo Fashion Week and partied with Brazilian celebrities.

Ashton has continued to update his Twitter account over the past few days, but has not said anything about Demi.

The actor is now back in Los Angeles and will begin work on projects early next week.
