Last week it was reported that Sonakshi Sinha, who was roped in to play the lead opposite John Abraham in Anees Bazmee's film 'Welcome Back', had dropped the ball on the production team by opting out of the project.

Looks like Sonakshi's decision turned out to be a good news for Asin, as the actress has been signed for the project to play the leading lady.

Confirming the news, the spokesperson from the production house shared that Sonakshi and Asin were the two choices for the director. When Sonakshi opted out of the project, Asin was like a blessing as she would fit the role of a South Indian girl perfectly.

Now that the cast is finalized in the film, guess the shooting schedule will start soon.
