August 14, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): The head honchos at 'Mad Men' are beginning an auction. They intend to sell off seriously desirable pieces for the stylish and chic TV series.

The TV series, 'Mad Men' featured several dresses worn by January Jones and Christina Hendricks; all of them are up for grabs now. Anyone with sufficient cash and a flair for those awesomely chic attires on the show can stand a chance to bid for them. Bidders now can also purchase a walk-on role and be featured in season five of this American dramatic television series.

The stuff that is selected for the purpose of the auction includes a teal evening dress as is seen on Jones and a metallic brocade dress is also up for grabs. This dress was actually worn by the character of Bobbie Barrett.

There are many other cool items up for sale including a few vintage sixties furnishings and a few props from the Sterling Cooper advertising agency of the show.

The auction will go on for ten days. It began on August 13 at 7 am and will end on August 22. It has been decided that each and every proceeds and earnings from that show would be contributed to the Lung Cancer Program at California's City of Hope.
