The Kannada Film Producers Association on Thursday lifted its three-year-old ban on multi-lingual actress Nikita Thukral, saying its action against her was foolish.
Addressing a press conference, president of the association, Munirathna admitted that the decision was not only 'hasty' but also 'foolish'. Terming the ban a mistake, in a letter addressed to the actress, he regretted having defamed such a 'cultured' and 'talented' actress.
Nikita has expressed her happiness over the lifting of ban on her by the Kannada Film Producers Association (KFPA). Saying that justice was done, the actress has thanked her supporters and once again denied any association with Darshan off screen.
'I am happy and I am relieved over the decision. I thank all the film industry personalities, fans and media all over the country who had stood by me in the moment of crisis. I particularly thank producer Parvathamma Rajkumar for supporting me in a big way,' she said.
