(Cover) - EN Showbiz - Beyonc Knowles is so happy after discovering she is pregnant, it has been reported.

The star has been married to hip-hop mogul Jay-Z since 2008 and the pair have regularly spoken in public about their desire to start a family. Beyonc was said to have been thrilled, but surprised, when she realised she was expecting her first child. Now the news has sunk in, the 29-year-old singer cant wait to meet the new arrival and is busily rearranging her work schedule to accommodate her pregnancy.

"B was shocked. She loves kids, but she wasn't ready to be a mother just yet," a source close to Beyonc revealed to Us Weekly. "She really wanted to get her album done and tour the world again."

Another friend claims Beyonc is in her first trimester and has been saying the pregnancy is a gift from God and shes so happy.

Record executive Kevin Liles, who has known Jay-Z for many years, has sent his best wishes to the parents-to-be. He is confident the couple will excel at raising a family because they have such a stable life together.

"Jay has been all about family since I met him, and he's always going to be," Liles explained. "I wish them the best."

Earlier this year, Beyonc revealed she was looking forward to being a mother. She insisted that she would remain committed to her career and would find a way to juggle her personal and professional life.

My ambition is to continue to learn about the world and to eventually have a family [but there are] no dates, no times - it will happen when I am ready, she said. (C) Cover Media
