Britney Spears constantly looks at her fiance for "reassurance" while shooting The X Factor.

The singer is a new panellist on the American TV programme and it's been claimed she is struggling to settle into the role. Although Britney enjoys being a part of the show, she is thought to be worried about her comments to contestants.

Her fiance Jason Trawick one of the co-conservators who look after Britney's personal and professional affairs is always nearby when the cameras are rolling, which comforts the star.

"Jason is never more than striking distance away from her and Britney constantly looks at him for reassurance after everything she says," a source told UK magazine Heat. "But despite Jason doing everything they can to keep her on track, insiders say Britney is finding the experience nerve-wracking ordeal and keeps threatening to quit. She's even been heard sounding upset in her dressing room."

Britney has impressed audiences at the auditions and reportedly reacted well when someone she worked with on her first record tried out recently.

"The crowd go crazy every time she walks in," the source said. "But she's like a deer in the headlights."
