(Cover) - EN Star Style - Catherine Deneuve has revealed that fashion has become more of a challenge now she is older.

The French actress, who is best known for her roles in Repulsion and Belle de jour, has admitted that she can't pull off every look like she could do in her youth.

The 67-year-old icon, who is currently starring as a trophy wife in Potiche, explained that she has to look after herself properly to keep up the focus required in her profession.

"It's more of a challenge than it was 20 years go," she told VogueTV. "It doesn't become a struggle though. You have to accept that there are things you can't do anymore. You have to rest more, sleep more and go to bed earlier at night. Actresses have to have that energy, it's very physical to be an actress today."

Catherine says France will always be the navel of the fashion world. The former model, who used to be the face of Chanel, acknowledged that there are great designers all over the world, but her country has a longstanding sartorial history that gives it an edge.

"Fashion has always been involved with France," she said. "There are great stylists and designers in America, Italy and England, but the plot of the fashion world will always be French." (C) Cover Media
