CCL: Big win for Chennai Rhinos

The Kollywood proved its dominance over other film industries in south India on Sunday, when Chennai Rhinos emerged triumphant for the second time in a row, in the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) tournament, by defeating the Karnataka Bulldozers.

At a closely fought match at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday night, Tamil actor Vikranth (cousin of Vijay) made sure that his team tasted success. An all-rounder that he is, Vikranth made his presence in batting as well as bowling.

The Karka Kasadara and Goripalayam actor scored 95 runs and was the main reason in setting a big target for Karnataka Bulldozers- 161. Also, it was during his last over bowling, the Sandalwood team lost three costly wickets and faced defeat.

Meanwhile, the CCL management is on an expansion mode. According to sources, plans are afoot for an additional two more CCL teams, as well as a tour of Singapore and Malaysia to entertain Indian expatriates based there. In addition, an initial public offering is reportedly expected in two to three years’ time.
