Authorities of the Regional Censor Board have cleared Lingusamy's film "Vettai", which has Madhavan and Arya in lead roles, with a clean U certificate. This means the film is a complete family entertainer.

In a statement, the film's spokesperson said, 'Vettai" was cleared by the Censor board and was awarded an "U". Few corrections suggested which we agreed. Overall the members (of the Censor Board) enjoyed the film and said it is a gripping movie which is entertaining and filled with fun. They all liked the comedy, action and other scenes.'

Produced by Lingusamy's Tirupathi Brothers in association with UTV Motion Pictures, "Vettai" has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja and songs composed by him were already topping the charts. Sameera Reddy and Amala Paul are the heroines.

Since the Yuvan-Lingusamy combination delivered the musical hit "Paiyya", there are a lot of expectations from Vettai as well. It is to be noted that the single track 'Paparappa' from "Vettai" has already gone the 'Why this Kola Veri di' way. It has been uploaded on various social networkin websites and is said to have registered lakhs of hits so far.
