Vadivelu was lying low for quite some time, since he was busy making a career in politics.Though there were rumours about his comeback in cinema, nothing is official so far.

The latest about the ace comedian is that he will be seen playing a crucial role in Dhanush's forthcoming film, which is to be helmed by Simbu Devan. Vadivelan and Simbu Devan are known for their blockbuster "Imsai Arasan 23am Pulikesi".

'Simbu Devan's new script demanded a powerful comedian and hence he decided to rope in Vadivelu. Dhanush is happy about having Vadivelu on board. This film will mark the comeback of Vadivelu on the big screen,' sources say.

The yet to be titled project is expected to hit the floors soon. 'A couple of titles including "Maareesan" and "Mayavan" are being worked out. The humour movie will have a unique way of sending out a social message,' sources add.
